About JJV
IN THE BEGINNING…
The name Joules Jewels was born when I was in 7th grade and making and selling jewelry at my school’s craft fair every spring (The Maret School in Washington, DC).
I went to SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) and studied photography with the intention to study metals and jewelry as a minor but decided against it. I graduated in 2009 with a BFA in Photography.
I looked at Etsy.com and fell in love with the idea of owning my own business again and decided to bring the name back. But this time not only selling jewelry, but branching out into all things vintage. I have now been buying and selling quality, unique vintage items since April 2009.
PHILOSOPHY:
I believe that fashion’s first function is to express individuality and creativity. Secondly, fashion at any level, should be affordable; specifically, vintage fashion. Fashion includes everything you put on your own body, to how you furnish your home– even down to the salt and pepper shakers.
