PAYMENT POLICIES

Before you agree to purchase your item, please be sure you actually want the item (it is the right size, etc) and can pay for it. If you have a question about the item, please message me BEFORE agreeing to purchase it. I will be happy to assist you!

Once you have agreed to pay for the item, you must continue on to Paypal and confirm your purchase. If you do not, your item is not considered paid for and your item will not be shipped.

If you are purchasing via Direct Checkout, your item(s) will be marked as “shipped” the day you purchase your item to release the funds from Etsy (they hold the money until the item is marked shipped). Once Etsy pays us, your item will be shipped.

Payment must be received within 72 hours of agreeing to purchase or the item will be relisted.

Paypal and Direct Checkout (credit card) are the only forms of accepted tender. It’s safe for you and me. Paypal accepts credit and debit cards too, so don’t fret! I will only ship items for which I have received notice of payment via Paypal or Direct Checkout. Once we receive your payment, your item will be shipped!

As required by the Board of Equalization, all orders purchased/shipped in the State of California will be charged a sales tax rate of 8.25% which will be added to your order at checkout (shipping is not taxed).

SHIPPING POLICIES

tems ship via USPS Priority Mail to the verified address on your Etsy account. I ship all items as soon as payment is received (24-48 hours). The maximum handling time before the item is shipped is about 3 days (72 hours). I will give you your tracking number the same day I ship your item and Paypa/Etsyl will notify you via email.

INTERNATIONAL: Please contact me prior to purchase for approximate shipping costs. Anything shipped outside of the US has to go through customs and costs extra money. These orders are generally shipped every Monday and Wednesday unless otherwise specified by you, the purchaser.

LOCAL PICKUP/DELIVERY: If you live in the San Francisco/Bay Area, you are more than welcome to come get your item (or ask for a drop-off) so you don’t have to wait! Your shipping cost will be refunded to you promptly (for pick up orders only). Delivery charges are gas and labor (especially for furniture items). Please contact me prior to purchase if local pickup/delivery is a more convenient option for you.

HOLIDAYS:
Please notify me if your purchase is a holiday gift and when you need it delivered by. I can do express shipping with no problem, there is an extra fee for it based on the weight of your purchase(s). Just let me know what you need!

REFUNDS

If you are unhappy with your item we will always try to work something out with you.  Our customer’s happiness is the most important to us.

However, refunds are only on a case by case basis.  A refund is not always guaranteed unless something is seriously wrong with the item purchased.

This is not to be mean, or spiteful- this is only to avoid the very sudden shopper’s disease; buyer’s guilt.  It’s quite contagious.  Also it deters customers who are only interested in buying and wearing an item one time (for instance, to a special event) and returning it after it has been worn.

Returns must be made at the buyer’s expense in the original packaging in which the item was shipped, including all packaging materials and with a tracking number.

Refunds will be given after the package is received by Joules Jewels Vintage and the buyer is given less the cost of shipping if a refund has been agreed upon.

Joules Jewels is not responsible for damage done to items during the shipping process.

We have boxes, bows, cards and all kinds of doo-dads to make your gift as personal as you want it!  You can add it to your order for a small fee.

Also please be advised that vintage items are previously worn and owned.  On rare occasions we do have mint condition items in stock (these items are labeled as such).  However, generally most items are not and are sold as is.  All photos are professional and lit well and are never touched up to add/remove flaws or details.
